Hi, this week we did sequences from topic 5, I tried to play a lot before and after and also rewarded some short parts instead of whole exercise.

We made the white sequence from topic 3 and I totally felt what I have previously tried to put into words.

In my humble opinion, what I have noticed is that at home, he is in a sort of “learning mood” like expecting to learn something new and wondering not to fail and making everything as expected, but when I correct him, he frustrates really quickly and goes slowly. In new environments, he is a bit better in that aspect, that’s why I really try to encourage those activities outside home. I think in many opportunities he is interested and cooperative and comes back to start a new sequence, but we also have some times when I have to beg for his attention 🙁 .
I don’t have any special routine for the start line, so I will try to make one that pumps him.
We will configure your topic 3 sequences, but as we still don’t have introduced In & Threadles I will help him a bit with my handling

Hi, how are you? Sorry for having been away for so long
Here we are, we had some really hard days, but we are safe and sane and back home!! Ready for resuming our agility journey!
During this time without uploading videos, we made some short sequences every now and then. We also were in Brasil some days and were invited to train with some people there. I’m not sure if I am allowed to upload some examples of that (I left them behind just in case), but as a summary, I can say, that although I see Stitch has grown up a lot these weeks, I see that while running into an agility course, he is really really much slower than when running wild and free without any route, playing with dogs or discovering a new place. Reading your post I think that’s part of being a Brainiac-dog, so please, I would love to receive some advice on where to resume this class, hoping you could help us to get the best of both of us !

We also worked on static toy exercises mixing with treats and away from agility course. Stitch didn’t show any interest for toys when food was around (on bag, on my hand and even he went to the kitchen to look for it). later, when he finally realized that food was no more involved we could do some tricks and rewarded them with toys

Thank you! I won’t use NO, and try oops instead.
We are going to do some static toy exercises mixing with treats and away from agility course.
Should we repeat the sequence mixing types of rewards? or do you think a new sequence would be better?

Hi, we were a bit busy here and we couldn’t continue with the last topics as I would have liked to 🙁 Sorry for that :'(
I have to say a lack of videos doesn’t mean a lack of interest !! I have a lot of homework to do from this class and I loved each game, we will continue with all your advice given!!
I have this video I haven’t uploaded before but it doesn’t follow all your indications from the last video posted.

I don’t know until when we are allowed to post videos? and for how long all your replies will be available?

Hi, we made a new try of cavaletti but I feel Stitch was again on a hurry. I tried to be calm and the quiet, throwing one treat and while he was searching, I went to the end position and went down there.
I see he made some good tries but most of them he jumped, so not sure … do you see any progress?

Hi, today we made a toy hunting session.
I think it was too easy for him, despite it was our first time playing this game. I really have fun with it, especially on the last try when he went to see in the wrong place if there was something else there.

Hi! here there are our first attempts with topic 5.
Balance as Stitch already knows being 4 paws in on different places, we started with me moving to the sides and him over the wobbly.

Cavaletti, I feel it was a total disaster, we never manage to be calm enough for this exercise. Stitch was all the time excited and looking for food and so never focused on poles and I didn’t find the way of helping him.

Oh, poor Stitch !! with this active and passive stay misunderstood.
Now, I think it is cleared! Thank you.
We made a new session, this time onliy with active stay
