Our story started when I was a little girl with only one true wish – to have a dog. And she was obviously not one. So at first I didn’t pay any attention to the little black kitten that spent most of the day hiding in my closet. But somehow she decided that I was the one she would become friends with. And when a cat decides something, there is not much you can do about it. She slowly battled her way onto my pillow and under my skin. If you want to describe her personality, words like egotistic, stubborn, lazy and strong-willed are ones you can’t leave out, but somehow she makes them sound nice. She has one motto and she is 100% successful at following it: Carpe diem. She is without a doubt as spoiled as they come. You can find her in every corner in the house as long as it is comfortable enough for her daily dose of napping.
If she could, she would only eat sauce and leave things you have to chew in her bowl. Her normal daily activities are: bossing the dogs around, sitting by our little pond with her tail in the water, hoping to catch a fish, making my mother believe that she is starving even though she has just eaten, and chasing my toes under the blanket in the middle of the night. She never does anything for anyone but herself, but somehow she is far more loyal than any of my dogs.
With huge pain in my heart, I had to let Hani go in the begining of September 2009. She lost a battle with cancer. There are no words to describe how much I miss her…
