This is a really strange year for me. I have stopped competing with Kiša, because I found out she has some back problems. She is not in a bad shape, but jumping isn’t doing her any good, so I have decided to focus on herding and other activities that are healthier for her. Šaj is on her maternity leave (which she hates BTW), and crazy šČE is still stil young and furious and nowhere near A3.
It feels strange not to run with an experienced large dog after all this years competing with 2. Luckily I have my little ones, otherwise that would be one boring agility year… My sweet, brilliant 11 year old Šja (who just doesn’t give a damn about her age) didn’t have the best start of the season; we had some misunderstandings in the agility runs, but we are back on track with clean runs only on our recent trials. She is in a great position for both EO and AWC team, but we still have some competing to do before the qualifications are over.
And than there is the firecracker Roo – my little rent-a-terrier who keeps me on my toes! After the big crisis in the beginning of the season and a big change in training routines she has made TONS of progress. Her contacts are really solid, as well as her obstacle focus and general obedience in the course. But we have collected many many very stupid eliminations, but also some nice runs and most of those are also winning runs. She is in a good position for the EO, but I don’t think we will manage to qualify for the AWC this year. But hey – it is not over until it is over…
And šČE… well, we are now in A2. I still don’t know how that happened; our runs are mostly pure chaos. 😛 But I think things will get easier now, straight lines really bring the worse out of my pony.
Here are some runs from Roo and Šja:
